Full cost is $75 a Deposit of $25 is needed to secure your place Balance Due on the Day
Create your own unique stylish Sashiko Stitched handbag.
8th March –9.30am for meet & greet - tea, coffee, & cookies
10am Workshop starts – prompt!
Finish time 3pm approximately
Please bring your own lunch – or you can get something yummy from The Grape Escape Café next door.

Venue - Crafty or Wot, The Grape Escape Complex, (now renamed ‘Old Factory Corner’), McShane Road, Richmond.
Pre-Registration is essential as Workshop places are limited.
Participants will get an overview of Sashiko & Boro Stitching.
Kit to make a unique handbag, including outer & lining fabrics, outer fabric will be Kofu Tsumugi fabric – 100% Cotton fabric developed by Olympus Japan – an affordable version of Japanese Shot Silk Fabric – the weft is a black yarn and the warp the appropriately coloured yarn dyed thread, with little slubs in it adding to the texture of the fabric and it is a pleasure to stitch on.
Please indicate at time of registering which colour Tsumugi fabric you would like in your kit for your bag –
Gold (as per finished example)
Sashiko leather thimble.
A choice of designs to transfer onto the Tsumugi fabric.
Tailors Carbon Paper.
Instructions to complete the bag later at home – a sewing machine will be needed.
You will also need to bring to the workshop basic sewing requisites – especially embroidery scissors, plus pen & ruler.
Terms & Conditions
Deposit payment for the workshop on Crafty or Wot web site, or if you are local you can pay directly in the shop. We will confirm your place, & receipt of monies by email.
In case of cancellation due to illness, lack of sufficient numbers, or any unforeseen circumstances, another date will be posted.
If participant cancels or is no longer able to attend the workshop, the workshop fee refund will only be given if we can fill your place on the workshop. The kits will be available on line to be posted out, or in the shop from Crafty or Wot after the workshop date for those who are unable to attend.
