September Newsletter 2021

Hello All

September Newsletter

Well – I certainly didn’t think when I said “Cheerio” to Stephanie after our day at the shop had finished on the 17th August that our ‘comfortable’ world as we knew it would be plunged back into Level 4 Lockdown!  I am thankful that Steve & I now have had both our Covid 19 vaccinations – it is at least some protection against this new strain.

Covid Level 3 Restrictions
We will be operating a Contactless Click and Collect System.
Our shop hours will be as normal – 10am – 4pm – Monday to Saturday.
Starting Wednesday 1st September

Orders can be placed either through the website –
http://www.craftyorwot.com.
and paid for @ time of placing order, by using Shopify / Pay Pal, or by direct credit into our bank account (our preferred method),
Bank Account Number – ASB 12 3226 0044 595 00
Please put your name into the reference field.
If you want to collect it in person rather than have it posted out – click on the ‘Click & Collect’ button option on the website, and collect from the shop during business hours.
We can use the mobile eftpos at time of collection, from the shop.
If you have a varied ‘shopping list’ of items you wish to collect – let us know in advance by email & we will put them altogether and contact you when it is ready for your collection to save you waiting.

Due to Level 3 Restrictions - Customers can not enter the shop – but we will set up a table on the deck of Quiltz ‘n’ More with hand sanitiser. On arrival – let us know you are there – either phone 03 544 7832 or knock on the door – we will probably be cleaning / painting etc., (ready for reopening...Level 2) - remember the 2 metre Social Distancing rule – step back from the door (as it opens outwards) – we will put the eftpos machine out with the purchase total keyed in – you do your bit by putting in your pin number – when the transaction has gone through – we will bring the eftpos back inside & we will then place your order on the table for you to collect.

We can’t emphasize enough how important ‘CONTACTLESS’ this has to be – please bear with us during these unsettling times – for both our safety and yours!  So don’t forget the mandatory mask rule as well.

The garden has been getting some serious attention for the first time in ages – and I have already done 8 blocks in a Block of the Month Pattern – ‘Bird Walk’ – that I bought – 1 for me and 2 for the shop.  It is a really fun and interesting project – combining applique blocks & quilting blocks…boy is my Quick Unpick getting a serious workout though!

Obviously until we are into Level 2 & even better back to Level 1 – we can't run any classes.  So unfortunately the Boro Purse Class on 4th September is postponed till further notice.  It will still go ahead as soon as we can arrange the date!  We have plenty of room in the classroom to have the required ‘Social Distancing’.  Hopefully the other 2 classes booked can go ahead – but only time, the government and Covid case numbers will sort that one out.
