NEWSLETTER Mar 21

March Newsletter 2021

Into another month already - I am trying to keep ahead of Old Father Time....
but he is faster than me.
All the current Sashiko Workshops are now full.  I am sorting out more classes - Covid 19 permitting.  The format will be different for the next run of classes.  Keeping things fresh and hopefully interesting for the participants.

New Sashiko Classes
Sashiko Project Classes - 8th May & 10th July
Boro Inspired Class - 12th June
Full details of all the classes will be posted in the next newsletter...still nutting out the finer details!
We already have an 'expressions of interest' list on the go in the shop.
Maximum of 10 students per class.

Our first Beginners Quilting Class for 2021 was a great sucess - lots of laughter and wonderful results!  Well done Trudy and all her students.

Trudys' second one on 27th April is full  - once again we have a number of classes in the pipeline and an 'expressions of interest' list in the shop.
Full details will be in the April newsletter -
and as soon as we have all our ducks in a row as it were -
all details of all classes will be posted on the Crafty or Wot website,http://www.craftyorwot.com including the cost of each class.

Stephanies' Quilting Classes - 17th April - Economy Blocks for Confident Beginners
2nd May - Log Cabin Quilting Class
Maximum of 8 students on the Quilting Classes.
A few taster photos of some possible projects....watch this space!

Photos above are the same Block - but look completely different when laid out in a different order.
For this reason they have not been stitched together yet.

We have 2 Sewing machines available to borrow to do the Quilting Classes -
no charge - but they do need to be booked in advance.

We have now expanded our range of Creative Grids Rulers (and will expand even more in due course!)
I have to admit I was a bit sceptical of them at first because they are not cheap - but - my goodness - they really do help in your quilting projects!
"The right tool for the right job" as Steve always says.

My first 'play' with the Curvy Log Cabin Ruler - such fun!

Informal Quilting Sessions are still ongoing - Trudy is on hand to help with any of your problems - but still has to be able to serve customers -
Mondays & Thursdays - 10am - 12pm & 1pm - 4pm @ $20 per session.
Tea / Coffee / Milk available

Our Workroom is available for hire - Half a Day - 9am - 1pm
or 12pm - 4pm @$30.
Full Day - 9am - 4pm @ $50.
Power is included in the charge along with tea / coffee / milk & the kitchen facilites.

Lots of new fabrics have been arriving (thank goodness) - including ALL 45 of the new Liberty Emporium Range!

The 'Guess How Much I Love You Range' Panel

And Fat 1/4's in the range.

AND FOR THOSE WHO ARE WAITING FOR THEM....
Poppy Sashiko Kits will be in the shop by this weekend - I have discovered red fabric is a tricky one to photograph - so I will have to redo the Kit Cover Pictures.

The fabrics are all ready to go as soon as the kit covers are printed - so the kits will retail at $49.90 (the cushion inners will need to be purchased separately.)  And they will be on the website ASAP!

Short End Saturdays
Every Saturday till they run out...
Take ALL of the remaining fabric on the bolt - price is 1/2 the normal price per metre - worked out on the length remaining.

Happy Creating & Crafting from Christine, Steve, Trudy & Stephanie.
