Stunning Sunrise on August 1st
We are delighted to now be stocking Cottage Garden Threads – they are a wonderful range of Hand Dyed 6 Stranded Embroidery Threads.
They complement the FibreHart range of
Hand Dyed Silk Threads & Silk Ribbons also.
We are also ‘cooking’ up some Embroidery Classes to use some of our lovely products…just takes a bit of time…
Informal Quilting / Stitching Sessions
If you need assistance or a bit of advice with your quilting or stitching projects we have informal 2 hour sessions @ $20 per session on
Mondays & Thursdays – 10am – 12pm & 1pm – 3pm
Our staff are available to help you, but will still have to serve customers.
Tea & Coffee available.

Hitomezashi Sashiko Class
(also known as One Stitch Sashiko)
Saturday 4th September
10am start - prompt – 4pm approx. finish.

Bring a basic sewing kit with you (needles / pins / scissors).
2 different projects will be stitched in this class – kit includes Pack of 2 Sashiko Needles,
Dot Grid Fabric & all the threads needed to complete the patterns.
Students will be given a brief history of Sashiko & Boro Stitching, before learning how to deal with the skeins of Sashiko Threads (especially useful for the 100mt skeins!) How to stitch Sashiko economically, so as not to waste too much thread, plus lots of other tips and tricks to stitch your work and what to turn it into afterwards. Final finishing off will need to be completed at home due to time constraints.
Tea & Coffee will be available but please bring your lunch.
Boro Inspired Purse Stitching Class
Saturday 18th September
10am start - prompt – 4pm approx. finish.

This class is suitable for beginners to learn lots of new skills,
plus quilters who want to construct a fantastic project bag –
suitable for quilting, art, embroidery etc. projects.
